Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and from 12 PM until time of service on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Buchanan Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.
Addie Mae was born March 27, 2013, in New Albany, Mississippi, the first born to Colten and Casey Henson Robbins, of Pontotoc. She was soon to be a seventh grader at North Pontotoc School.
A member of Buchanan Baptist Church, Addie Mae received Christ into her heart on June 12, 2021, at age 8. She was very passionate about her love for Jesus and wanted others to know that same love. A hand-written note was recently found, and it stated, “He is coming back!” folded ever so neatly, as if it were waiting for her to share it with anyone that was willing to listen. Oh, what a day that will be when we get to rejoice with our Lord and Savior and see Addie Mae’s infectious smile once again.
With a love for make-up, and not just any kind of make-up, but rather the expensive kind, she searched for ways to make money so that she could buy whatever brand she wanted. Her mother Casey would often say, “She has better make-up than I do!” and Addie Mae loved to try it out on her sister, Henley, using the new techniques that she had seen on Tik-Tok or YouTube. There was the time she had the bright idea that little brother Bryson, needed some make-up too, and she did so all while thinking, “it’s a good thing he’s too young to protest.” She loved pageants; getting her hair fixed, her nails painted, and wearing all the beautiful dresses, being one to never complain because she knew beauty doesn’t exist without a little pain. Getting her favorite iced coffee or eating rice and beans at her favorite restaurant, Hacienda, was something else she enjoyed as often as someone would offer to take her. Being a “girly-girl” but a “spit-fire” all at the same time, she did like to fish, and she was pretty good at it, always catching her fair share. A proud member of Olympus Athletics, she loved to tumble, but cheering and playing volleyball, both were a close second.
Addie Mae was a kind, loving little girl, that was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Never meeting a stranger, she dearly loved her family, siblings, cousins, extended family, friends and especially her Mamaw and Papaw Robbins. She was so tender-hearted, and the recent passing of her Papaw Herman was a prime example to others that Addie was not afraid to show her raw emotions. Always putting others before herself, she will always be remembered for her love……and love is much deeper than words and love was Addie Mae.
Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, Casey and Colten, her adored siblings, Henley and Bryson, her grandparents, Greg and Pam Robbins, Martha and Bill Watson.
