Allayne Cobb LaValley, 81

Brunswick, Georgia – Allayne Cobb LaValley, 81, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026.

Born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi, Allayne lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She graduated from Tupelo High School and attended Itawamba Community College before beginning a career in banking. A longtime employee of Peoples Bank & Trust, she eventually served as Branch Manager.

A devoted member of St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo, Allayne was also active in the St. James Ladies Club. Her faith quietly guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the compassion and generosity she showed to others.

Above all else, Allayne was a devoted mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She found joy in caring for those she loved and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved, and at home. An exceptional home cook and avid gardener, her kitchen and garden were places where she lovingly shared her talents, creating cherished memories that will live on for generations. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and generous heart touched countless lives. In her final years, Allayne made her home in Brunswick, Georgia, close to her daughter’s family, where that same warmth continued to fill every room she entered.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Milton Kenneth LaValley; her son, Kenny LaValley and his wife, Desiree, and their children, Josh and Logan; her son, John LaValley and his fiancée, Evonn, and his children, Joseph and Elizabeth; her son, Randy LaValley and his wife, Bethany, and their son, Jonah; and her daughter, Beth Walker and her husband, Evan Walker, and their children, Lucy, Katherine, and Arlo. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, along with extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were made brighter by her kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tommy Cobb; and her sister, Betty Cobb Long.

Allayne’s legacy is one of unconditional love, selfless devotion, and quiet grace. Though she will be deeply missed, the warmth of her smile, the comfort of her home, and the love she so freely gave will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Pegues Funeral Directors in Tupelo.

A funeral service celebrating Allayne’s life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Tim Murphy officiating. There will also be a visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. A graveside service will follow at Tupelo Memorial Park.
