Angela Hope Scrivner, 58
December 15, 1966 – July 28, 2025
Okolona-Angela Hope Scrivner met her Savior and rejoined her Mom and other loved ones gone before from her Chickasaw County residence on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was 58 years old. Born in Amory on December 15, 1966 to the late Lounez Lewis Scrivner and Freddie Scrivner, who survives, Angie graduated from Okolona High School in l984, attended Ole Miss but completed her undergraduate education from Mississippi State University with a degree in History. A longtime member of the Bethany Church of God of Prophecy west of Okolona, Angie always maintained a strong faith in God and lived a purpose filled Christian life. She spent most all her life in Chickasaw Co where she studied history and enjoyed reading history books, among other genres. Angie developed an interest in law and completed Paralegal studies at ICC. She worked for over 25 years as a paralegal for Gene Barton, Attorney at Law and for Matthew Black, Attorney at Law in Okolona before her health began to fail. Angie loved going to estate sales and collecting antiques, reading and studying especially the history of Native American Indians.

Angie is survived by her father, Freddie Scrivner of Okolona; her sister, Nerissa S. Aldridge (Ricky) of Hazlehurst, Ga. and two nieces, Jesica Luna (Marty) and Stephanie Walroven (Jacob) and a host of cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sis. Lounez Scrivner who died Jan. 19, 2022; her grandparents, Johnny and Leona Wooten Lewis and Freddie Cleo and Emma Lee Young Scrivner.
