Armed robbery attempt reported at Walmart

NEMiss.News has learned that there has been an armed robbery , or attempted armed robbery, inside the Walmart in New Albany, at approximately 10:15 this morning. The robber was said to be armed with a hand gun.

The suspect is a single black male who is believed to have left the store on foot, possibly headed toward the hotels area on Highway 30.

Officials are on the scene.
