On Thursday, at the August Museum Moments, Jack Elliott Jr, discussed his book, The Ramparts of Infinity, Col. Falkner and the Ripley Railroad.

Colonel William C. Falkner (1825–1889), was the great-grandfather William Faulkner. Elliott’s book is the first biography of Falkner since 1961, and includes “A Field Guide to Colonel Falkner’s Ripley,” which serves to inform the reader about the geographical history of the Ripley area at this time in Mississippi history.
