Visitors with new babies on the way, or recently arrived, began arriving early at this year’s Annual Baby Fair at Baptist Memorial Hospital Union County in New Albany. Moms-and-Dads-to-be, grandparents, aunts and uncles and older brothers and sisters filled the halls of the hospital.

“This event provides important information and resources for new and expectant mothers to ensure their newborns have a great start,” said Jacque Craig, nurse manager of the Women’s Center at Baptist Union County.

There are approximately 900 babies born each year at Baptist-Union County in New Albany.

Tables were stacked high with baby-centered gifts, useful healthcare and safety informati0n, community resource pointers and refreshments. A look at the auto tags in the parking lot showed that the event is popular far and wide – a tribute to the success of Baptist’s goal of providing excellent healthcare services to our area.

Nancy Kidd, Marketing Director at Baptist-Union County, informs NEMiss.News that there were over 275 attendees (moms and support persons) at this year’s Baby Fair. She and many staff members, along with community resource partners, are to be commended for a job well done. It is likely that it will not be too long before planning for Baby Fair 2025 gets underway.
