Baptist Union County hosts Back-to-School Health Fair

NEW ALBANY, MISS., July 19, 2018 – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County will host a free back-to-school health fair on Saturday, August 11 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Registration stations will be set up in the front lobby and behind the hospital.

The event will feature a host of free health screenings, health tips, safety information, a teddy bear clinic, and backpacks with school supplies on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will have the chance to tour fire trucks, ambulances, a helicopter, and other emergency vehicles. In addition, a variety of medical clinics, a dental clinic, and other community resources will be available. Car seat safety checks will be conducted during the back-to-school health fair in the parking lot of the Creekmore Clinic.

“This event represents a collaborative community effort, which includes law enforcement, clinics, health department, and many others, who are all committed to raising the collective health and safety of our community,” said Walter Grace, CEO and administrator of Baptist Union County.
