Baptist Union County to host 2021 Back-to-School Health Fair

NEW ALBANY, MISS., July 15, 2021 – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County will host a free back-to-school health fair for children 12 years and younger on Saturday, July 24 from 9– 11:00 a.m. The event will be held in the parking behind the hospital located at 200 Hwy 30 West. Baptist Union County will also provide COVID-19 vaccines to anyone 12 years of age or older who would like to receive the shot.

The event includes over 25 booths with car seat safety, medical, dental and vision clinics. Community resources including health tips and safety information will be available, and emergency vehicles will also be on site. School supplies will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

The Pfizer©/BioNTech© vaccines will be available for anyone 12 years of age and older, and will require a second dose of the vaccine which will be scheduled onsite after the first dose is received. The one-dose Johnson & Johnson© vaccines will be available for men ages 18 years of age and older, as well as women who are 50 years of age or older.
