Baptist Hospital Union County hosted a Community Health Fair on the morning of October 3, 2024.

The Baptist Memorial Health Care system is committed to having its network provide effective, affordable health care to the many communities it serves. This commitment includes services to community members who are underserved, underinsured and uninsured.

At the Community Health Fair, participants aged 18 or older could receive a number of free health screenings. This included cholesterol, triglycerides, blood glucose and bone density, as well as a coronary risk factor assessment and PSA screening of the prostate. Free influenza vaccines were also available and, of course, there was plenty of useful “swag” to take home.

As always, many local health care providers and community partners were on hand to provide information about local clinics and other specialized healthcare services.

The New Albany area is fortunate to have the excellent health care resources provided by Baptist Union County and many other local medical providers.  Baptist’s Marketing Director Nancy Kidd says, “We are focused on the positive outcomes that will come for those individuals who received valuable free screenings, flu vaccines, and educational information.”

Throughout the year, Baptist Union County hosts a variety of free activities aimed at improving the healthcare of the community, including annual Baby Fairs, Back To School Fairs, educational luncheons, etc.
