Baptist Union County Names Quarterly Service First Champion
NEW ALBANY, Miss., October 27, 2025 – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County recently announced that Lacosta Watson, RN, been named Service First Champion for the quarter. Watson, who is a nursing supervisor, was nominated by a colleague.
Service First Champions are individuals who consistently exceed all expectations for the purpose of serving others and are nominated by colleagues, physicians, patients, and their family/support persons for outstanding service.
Watson was recognized for going above and beyond to honor a mother’s special request after a personal loss, which involved Watson bringing supplies from home to fulfill the wish. The nomination stated, “Lacosta was a shining example of what Service First is. Her selfless act is something that will be with this family forever, and they will be forever thankful that Lacosta worked that night.”
