Barbra Ann Long, 83

April 18, 1941 – February 17, 2025

SHANNON – Ms. Barbra Ann Long, 83, died Monday, February 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born April 18, 1941 in Shannon, MS, where she lived most of her life, to Oren Long and Thelma Clark Long. She worked forty years as an assembly associate employed by Tecumseh Manufacturing before retiring. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading, gardening and flowers. Barbra put the grandchildren who lovingly called her “Nan Nan”, at the top of her list of enjoyment.

A service celebrating Barbra’s life and homegoing will be at 2 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2025, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel with Teresa Clark officiating. Private burial will follow at Shannon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon to service time Thursday only. Condolences to the family may be expressed at hollandfuneraldirectors.com. Survivors include a son, Greg Rodgers of Shannon; daughter Brandie Mitchell (Robert) of Amory; 2 grandchildren, Rayanna Hampton (Jacquette) and Logan Mitchell (Maddie) all of Amory; great grandchildren, Lillianna Mitchell and Kai Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oren and Thelma Long; brother, Carlton Long and sister, Debbie Harsin.

Pallbearers will be Logan Mitchell, Jacquette Hampton Bill Ethridge, Brandon Ethridge, Jon McFarling, and Steve McFarling.
