Whitney “Beau” White, 44

October 15, 1981 – August 14, 2026

Saltillo – Whitney “Beau” White, 44, died on Friday, August 14, 2026. He was born on Thursday, October 15, 1981, in New Albany, Mississippi.

Beau passed away peacefully after a miraculous and tremendous fight with stage four esophageal cancer. He was surrounded by the family he so fiercely loved and the soundtrack that defined his life. To Beau, music was not just a hobby; it was his true north and the language through which he expressed his deep love for life, family, friends, and pure, personal connections with everyone he met. Marry this with his firm foundation in Jesus Christ, and you find yourself witnessing Beau’s life as a beautiful testament to the unwavering grace of God.

Beau’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was the beloved husband and soulmate of Gina and the incredibly proud father of two beautiful children, Ellawyn Ronnie and Lawson Everett Bobby. Beau’s protection, laughter, and devotion will forever guide his children’s paths.

Born into a home filled with love and unconditional hearts for Christ, Beau was the cherished son of Bobby and Debbie White and grandson of Robert and Shirley White and Presley and Betty Clark. He grew up sharing life’s earliest moments alongside his beloved little sister, Brooke, and later welcomed his brother-in-law, Chris Herring, into the family fold.

He also leaves behind a foundation of love built with his aunts and uncles, Ruth and Rick Brown and Stacey and Keith Bell, as well as his cousins, Porche and Jordan, who will miss his presence deeply.

Beau’s warmth extended to a large, tight-knit family. He was loved deeply by his in-laws, Ron and Ada Carlson. He was a wonderfully supportive brother-in-law to Joe and Dorothy Carlson and Jonny and Ruth Carlson. He held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, leaving a legacy of fun, good music, and affection with Alex Coats, Nicholas Herring, Bennett, Kaiden, Gianna, and Cameron Carlson.

Beau spent most of his working years healing souls and filling bellies through the art of great cuisine. He earned his keep in a variety of kitchens and BBQ pits, behind the bar, and managing kitchen inventories. He made fast friends with the back-of-the-house and service staff everywhere he worked. Guests fell in love with his warm smile and genuine, calm demeanor, often becoming dedicated regulars at each establishment.

Outside of work, Beau’s love of music took him around the country, following his favorite bands and artists. As a talented drummer and guitar player himself, there was nothing more personal to him than his love of songwriting and performing live. He brought his talents to multiple bands over the years, including his most recent band and passion project, Proper Dog, which continues to stream on Spotify and Apple Music today.

Beau found excitement (and often heartbreak) in his devoted fandom of his favorite sports teams, like the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Chicago Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks, and Memphis Grizzlies. Visiting ball fields and stadiums with his family and friends made for some incredible memories along the way, win or lose.

Beau lived his life like a great song: full of passion, good grooves, and a melody that drew everyone in. Though his physical song has ended, his beautiful melody lingers on in the hearts of everyone he loved.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Friday, August 21, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church.
