Betty Carol Campbell, 79
October 8, 1945 – September 11, 2025
Tupelo-Betty Carol Kelly Campbell, an extraordinary real estate agent, beloved Mom and Grandmother, departed this life from Sanctuary Hospice House on September 11, 2025. She was 79. Born in Lee County on October 8, 1945 to the late Norbin Boone Kelly and Jewel Phillips Kelly, she grew up in the Belden area and graduated from the former Belden High School. Her earlier employment included working for Planters Lumber Co. and later Tupelo Lumber Company. Additionally, she spent time at Electric and Machine Service before finding her ideal life career in the early 80’s as a real estate agent. Betty worked for Century 21 and other agencies before retiring from Crye-Leike. Her sales skills and passion were remarkable. She had a keen eye for property values, knew how to please buyers and sellers and became an independent minded, no nonsense successful real estate agent respected by associates and clients alike. Countless happy families were the beneficiaries of her finding the perfect home! Betty’s laugh was contagious and she loved her family well, especially her son, Gary, his wife, Teresa and their children, Amanda and Greyson, whom she always doted over. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, September 14, 2025 in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Pastor Terry Garrett officiating. Private burial will follow in Union Cemetery near Belden. Visitation will begin at Noon and continue until service time at 2PM. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Live-streaming and will be archived thereafter.
Betty is survived by her son, Gary Campbell (Teresa) and his father, Bobby Campbell; her grandchildren, Amanda Campbell Puckett (Brock) and Greyson Campbell (Meredith); her great grandchildren, Cora Grey, Campbell, Molly, Grange and Gibson; several nieces, nephews and cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norbin and Jewel Kelly; a sister, Linda Gaye Page and brothers, Tommy Kelly, James T. Kelly and David Kelly.
