Bill Hamilton, 77

August 15, 1948  –  April 11, 2026

Nettleton-William Floyd “Bill” Hamilton died Saturday, April 11, 2026, at NMMC-Tupelo. Bill was born on Aug. 15, 1948, in West Point to the late Relmon Hamilton and Lillie Irene Bird Hamilton. He graduated from West Point High School and joined the U. S. Army. A patriotic American, Bill served 6 ½ years during the Vietnam War where he received the Vietnam Service Medal with 7 bronze stars. Bill spent most of his working life after service as a Fire and Water Restoration Technician with most of his employment with A1-Deep Magic Company. He married Barbara Jo Butler in Shannon on Feb. 15, 1980, a marriage of 45 years at his death. A master woodworker, Bill enjoyed his shop and the creations he made there. He literally built their home in Nettleton from foundation up including double decks, his shop and the out buildings-a chore he was might proud of. He enjoyed the quiet moments of life and his ever present cigarette.
