Billie Jo Rogers, 80

December 26, 1944  –  April 30, 2025

TUPELO – Billie Jo Rogers, 80 years old, went to her forever home on April 30, 2025, after a brief illness. Born December 26, 1944, to L.M. and Lucille Hankins, she worked for over 25 years at Tecumseh Product until leaving to care for her mother. She was a member of Mayfield Church of Christ in Saltillo where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband of 49 years, Joel Rogers, who died February 26, 2011. She was a huge Elvis fan, an avid fan of the Twilight movies and a bigger fan of the Ole Miss Rebels (Hotty Toddy!). She loved shopping with her daughters, gardening, and spending time with her family. She loved her pets dearly. To be a pet of Billie’s was to be spoiled beyond spoiled! Same as her daughters, grandchildren and friends. If she loved you, you were spoiled – but maybe not as much as her pets! No sweeter woman on earth.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 2, 2025, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo. Burial will follow in Mayfield Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday (today) and continue until service time. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming at 2 PM. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their longtime friends.

She leaves behind three daughters, Kristy McNatt (Robby), Tammy Rowland, and Connie Hannon (Martin); five devoted grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally, Melody Walters (Dale), Mallory Moody (Justin), Erik Hannon, Drew McNatt (Danita), and Joshua McNatt (Trinity); twelve great-grandchildren, Brock and Carolyn Walters, Chase, Noah and Logan Moody, Izaak and Ava Hannon, Holden and Myles McNatt, Silas, Libby, and Sage Ivy Charles McNatt; a brother, Bobby Hankins and a son-in-law, Richard Rowland; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and her beloved dogs, Sissy and Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.M. and Lucille Hankins; two brothers, Buddy Hankins and Doug Hankins; and her grandson, Alex Rowland.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and sons-in-law: Drew McNatt, Joshua McNatt, Erik Hannon, Robby McNatt, Martin Hannon, Justin Moody, and Richard Rowland.

Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren: Brock Walters, Chase Moody, Noah Moody, Logan Moody, Izaak Hannon, Silas McNatt, Holden McNatt, and Myles McNatt.
