Blue Mountain’s Fire on the Mountain event draws good crowd
According to current estimates, the town of Blue Mountain in southern Tippah County has a population of 920.
Nearly that many people gathered in the Blue Mountain city park Saturday evening, June 27 for the town’s “Fire On The Mountain” event.
It being an election year, Tippah County politicians mingled with the crowd, and dozens of vendors offered a variety of food and drink.
Two musical groups entertained:
“Mississippi Moon,” is a rock band consisting of singer Melissa Palmer Coleman, lead guitarist Clint Crawford, drummer Jeff Pipkin, rhythm guitarist Joel Ward, bass guitarist Jason Stewart, percussionist Phillip Nanney and keyboard player Eric Holloway. Mississippi Moon was followed by the well known “Paid In Full” gospel group.
The evening’s entertainment concluded with a fireworks display.
I’m actually absolutely certain there were more than two groups who performed — there were four in total. Not cool dude…
