I live in Memphis and am married to a brilliant neurosurgeon. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in August 2015. I am a BSN, RN, and I know many things that this area is lacking in regards to cancer treatments, particularly brain tumors. New Albany is my hometown. Memphis does not offer any clinical trials for brain tumors but yet have a well known and much respected neurosurgery group – Semmes – Murphey Clinic.
I would love to see and even help get started clinical trials particularly for brain tumors in New Albany. They would be leading Memphis in that aspect. Feel free to contact me if you want further details and history of our battle with getting treatment.
