Bobbie Farris, 85

December 17, 1939  –  February 16, 2025

Tupelo-Ms. Bobbie Hall Farris, at age 85, finished her earthly pilgrimage and entered the portals of heaven from the Coen Green House at Traceway Manor in the early hours of Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025. Bobbie was born in the Evergreen Community of Itawamba County on Dec. 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Wylie Alfred Hall and Phillipa Sargent Hall. She grew up in that area and attended Plantersville Schools. A Baptist , Bobbie was a hard worker making her own way in life. She was employed at The Sands Restaurant in Fulton, Hunter-Sadler Manufacturing in Tupelo where she was a seamstress and machine operator for many years and retired from Independent Furniture Supply. She had lived the last 2 ½ years at United Methodist Senior Services on West Main St. in Tupelo. Bobbie was a strong, independent lady who stood her own ground and knew what was right and wrong in life. She will be missed by family and friends.



A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025 at Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery north of Mooreville. Burial will follow there. Visitation will be from 4PM-6PM Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Condolences may be posted on her memorial page at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Obits.

Bobbie is survived by her son, Billy Wayne Farris of Mantachie; her grandson, Richard Chism and granddaughter , Beth Bryant (Chris) and her great grandchildren, Paige Chism, Conner Christian, Melana Chism and Trinity Chism.; her sister, Sandra Jones; a daughter in law and Granny’s keeper, Jan Littlejohn (Butch) of Belden; several nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James Lydale Chism and her brothers, Sammy Earl Hall, Jack Hall and Tony Hall.
