Bonnie Faye Bennett Moore, 57

January 28, 1968 – May 8, 2025

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

As family surrounded her bedside, waiting in full support and love as they said goodbye, our sister in Christ, Mrs. Bonnie Faye Bennett Moore, age 57, entered into her Heavenly Home on Thursday May 8, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi.

Funeral Service celebrating Mrs. Bonnie’s life will be at 3:30 PM Saturday May 10, 2025, at Unity Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Barefield reading the obituary, and her son, Bro. Kody Moore sharing the message. Visitation will be from 1 PM until time of service on Saturday May 10, 2025, at Unity Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Bonnie was born on January 28, 1968, at the Tippah County Hospital to Mrs. Doris Childers Box, and the late Billy Hugh Bennett. She was a graduate of Falkner High School and on August 9, 1993, married her beloved husband, Mr. Kenny Moore, who survives. As he describes it, “Mrs. Bonnies was my best friend, always taking care of me and our children.” No truer words could be said, for her family always came first and foremost in her life, taking great pride in her home, dedicating her time to her beloved husband, raising her children with good Christian values, and tending to her mother, Mrs. Doris later in life.

A saved Christian and member of Unity Baptist Church, Mrs. Bonnies could be described as a Proverbs 31 lady, captivating the hearts of many with her polite demeanor and caring nature. She found much joy in all the simple pleasures life had to offer. Weather it was listening to country music, being outdoors, soaking up all of God’s beautiful creations, or simply spending time with her husband, Mr. Kenny, she loved it all. She lived a simple, peaceful life grounded firmly in Christ, which always resonated deeply with family and friends.

Through all the challenges brought her way, Mrs. Bonnie’s life served as a testament to the quote, “You can be a survivor, or you can be a victim, but only you can decide how to live your life.” From the braces she wore on her legs, having to use a “walking stick” as she would call it, and even facing the loss of her son, Kenny Ray, Jr., Mrs. Bonnie never wavered in her compassion for others. She never lost sight in all of God’s promises, placing her faith deeply in the word, and continuing to support her family always. She leaves a legacy of love and faithfulness first to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and also to her family. Though her journey here is complete, we can’t help but rejoice knowing Mrs. Bonnie has finally been healed, worshiping at the feet of Jesus, and experiencing the fullness of life. The ministry during her life will continue to inspire and encourage others to “fight the good fight of faith” for years to come and we find comfort knowing God’s grace will continue to carry us in the days to come.

In addition to her husband, Mr. Kenny Moore, her legacy continues to live on through her son, Bro. Kody Moore, her mother, Mrs. Doris Box, one sister, Tammy Bennett Ray, two brother-in-laws, Mickey Moore (Kathy), and Roger Moore (Wanda), multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.

Those there to welcome her into Heaven included her son, Kenny Ray Moore, Jr., her father, Billy Hugh Bennett, her father and mother-in-law, Autry and Louise Moore, and a brother-in-law, David Moore.
