Bonnie Pennington, a cherished soul known for her loving, kind, and gentle spirit, passed away after a courageous battle with an illness on October 17, 2024 in Oxford MS . She was born February 12, 1962, in New Albany, MS, Bonnie spent her formative years surrounded by the warmth of her family and the beauty of the natural world she so adored.
Bonnie’s educational journey began at Northeast Community College, where she completed two years before attending Mississippi State for a short period. Her pursuit of knowledge, though not confined within the walls of institutions, continued throughout her life in the way she engaged with the world around her.
Family was the cornerstone of Bonnie’s life. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, William Troy and Bonnie Sue Rakestraw Pennington, and her sister-in-law, Rhonda Pennington. Bonnie’s passions were a reflection of her inner beauty. Her love for nature was evident to all who knew her.
