Bonnye Jones McDonald, 64

HERNANDO – Bonnye Jane Jones McDonald died Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was 64 years old. Bonnye was born on September 1, 1960, in Jackson, TN to Don David Jones and Jean Yeargin Jones. She worked as the director of payroll for Hilton Hotels before retiring and opening up her Fish Window Cleaning Franchise before retiring to become a full-time farm wife. She loved hunting, fishing, farming, camping, driving tractors, playing with her grandchild, riding the golf cart and exploring, bird watching, and playing with her grand-dogs. She loved the land and being on the land spending time with her family and friends.

Bonnye is survived by her husband of 29 years, Rodney McDonald of Hernando, MS; her children, Rachel Grammer (Levi) and Forest McDonald; grandchildren, AJ Grammer and another on the way; her father, Don Jones and stepmother Gerri Jones; her sisters, Dawn Howard (Wesley), Debbi Jones, Mona Jones, Cindy Currie, and Joy Jones; and several nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Yeargin.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church in Como, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 3 PM Saturday only at the church. Holland Funeral Directors – Tupelo Chapel is honored to serve the family.
