Brandon O’Neal Knox, 39

April 16, 1986 – October 18, 2025

Brandon O’Neal Knox, affectionately known as “Baby Boy”, embarked on his final journey on October 18, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born on April 16, 1986, in New Albany, Mississippi, Brandon’s life was a testament of his kindness, selflessness, and friendly spirit that touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

A proud graduate of Blue Mountain High School’s Class of 2004, Brandon’s passion for life was evident in his Christian faith as a member of Union Prospect MB Church, his love for hunting, his countless hours of joy playing on his XBox, and his enthusiastic support for the Ole Miss Rebel football team. His selfless nature meant that he often put the needs of others before his own, and his kindness was a beacon that drew people to him. Brandon’s friendly demeanor was not just a trait but a way of life, as he believed in spreading the goodness of God through his compassion for others.

Brandon will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Maggie Knox Moore, and bonus father, Michael Moore, affectionately known as “Pops”; father, Hugh “Ace” Cannon; grandmother, Mary Moore, lovingly known as “Big Momma”; godmother, Ruth Ivy (Harold); friend, Vera Farr; special friend Amanda Hancock; and a host of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carrie Knox; maternal grandfather, Bennie Barfield; paternal grandparents, Reverend C.L. Cannon and Esther Cannon; and great-grandmother, Lena Knox.

As we celebrate the life of Brandon O’Neal Knox, let us remember his story is not one of sorrow but a reminder that every day is a gift and an opportunity to make a positive impact on the world. Brandon’s legacy is one of love and the enduring power of a kind heart. Let us honor his memory by living as he did—with open hearts, open arms, and the courage to spread kindness wherever we go.
