Brenda Garrett, 72

June 6, 1952 – February 15, 2025

On Saturday morning, February 15, 2025, Ms. Brenda Jean Smith Garrett, 72, resident of Corinth, MS, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

Ms. Garrett was born June 6, 1952, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Harlan J. and Joyce Ray Crawford Smith. She received her education from the Zion Illinois school district and for many years was a waitress at Waffle House where she met many interesting people. A Christian, Ms. Garrett was a loving person who could be found making candles and windchimes for her family and friends. She enjoyed going to flea markets, especially First Monday in Ripley, but the thing she cherished most was sharing time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids. Ms. Garrett will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her little dog and companion for over fourteen years, “Taco”.

Precious memories will continue to be shared by one daughter, Cynthia Moore (Michael) of Dennis, MS, two sons, Douglas Pendergraph (LeeAnn) of Sevierville, TN, Christopher Pendergraph (Jennifer) of Lexington, AL, three sisters, Mary Wypych and Sherry Perault both of Sevierville, TN, Patricia Cashmore (Kenny) of Leesburg, FL.

Ms. Garrett is preceded in death by her husband, Jed Garrett, one sister, Jenette Schultz and one brother-in-law J.B. Perault.
