Gene Coltharp officiating and friend, Kristi Springer sharing personal reflections. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service on Friday February 28, 2025, at Ripley Funeral Home.
Born January 23, 1975, in Tippah County, Brian was the son of the late Grady Waldrop and Joyce Shelby Moody. He and was a graduate of Bentonville High School, in Bentonville, Arkansas, where he made many friendships along the way. It’s been said by many, “To know Brian, was to love him”, as he was taking under others wing, always having multiple people in his corner. After graduation, he was employed with Wal Mart for a short period of time, before working in maintenance with Mid-South Engineering.
A Christian and member of the Somerville Tennessee Moose Lodge, Brian always had a heart that reach out to everyone. He was a Mopar Man to the fullest and quite the car collector, even as a child his stepfather said, ” Brian would drive his hot wheels all over the house, having one shoved between each finger.” Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing on the pond banks with his friends, mastering the game of pool, as he was quite the pool shark, watching any and every scary movie, and although he wouldn’t admit it, he loved taking the mic and singing his heart out, while his childhood best friend, Kristi cheered him on. His door was never locked, and everyone had a year around invite to his home, even though was quite the perfectionist, always keeping things tidy and clean, unless of course he was at your house, to which it was a different story then.
Brian cut a wide path during his time on earth, always living life to its fullest. There was never a dull moment when he was around, for he had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up a room. He was loving, and loyal, with a way of even making the simplest moments feel special. He was a fighter, never giving up at anything he put his mind to and always having his family and friends to encourage and support him. Although we will miss him deeply, Brians memory continues to live on in the laughter he shared, love he gave, and countless lives he touched.
Those left to carry on his legacy include one sister, Shannon Broussard (Keith), one brother, Shaun Waldrop (Tina), stepfather, David Moody, stepsister, Sharon Annete Moody, three stepbrothers, Daniel Moody (Johnanna Lugo), Larry Olson (Rebecca), and Johnny Box (Candice), his aunt, Allie Cole (Charles Brock), thirteen special nieces, and nephews, including Dylan Thomas Moody, his lifelong friend that he considered a sister, Kristi Springer, and wide circle of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Grady Waldrop, and mother, Joyce Shelby Moody.
Honorary pallbearers will be all his brothers, friends, and cousins including Josh Waldrop, Shaun Waldrop, Mitch Wommack, Ethan Waldrop, Daniel Moody, Johnny Box, Larry Olson, Brent Mcintosh, and Brian Kohan.
Family request donations be directed to Shriners Children’s Hospital, for their work, devotion, and love shown to Brian during his childhood meant so much to him.
