Bruce Dale Carroll, 74

February 16, 1951  –  July 20, 2025

Bruce Dale Carroll, known affectionately as Bruce Carroll to all who knew him, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Myrtle, MS. Born on February 16, 1951, in Philadelphia, MS, Bruce’s journey through life was one marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep-seated love for his family and friends.

Bruce was the cherished son of Earnest Carroll and Irene Page Carroll, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a beacon of strength and love for his family, providing guidance and support at every turn. His legacy continues through his sons, Andy Carroll (Donna) of Ecru, MS, and Joey Carroll of Pontotoc, MS. Bruce was a proud and devoted twin brother to Dean Carroll. His life was further enriched by the laughter and joy of his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with the delightful anticipation of four more great-grandchildren on the way. Although he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sue Ann Wilson, and his sisters, Louise Robbins and Betty Prather; his brothers, David Carroll, Andrew Carroll, and Earnest “Buddy” Carroll, the love and memories they shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them.

Bruce was a man of many talents. After years of navigating the roads as a truck driver, he retired from general construction. His work ethnic set a shining example for his family and peers alike.

Beyond his professional life, Bruce was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solitude by the water. The clatter of dominos was a familiar sound in his home, as he enjoyed the camaraderie and challenge of the game. Bruce also found companionship in his cats, caring for them with the same kindness he showed to people. His greatest delight, however, was in the time spent with his beloved family and friends. Each moment with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was treasured, and the anticipation of welcoming four new great grands brought him immense happiness.

Those who knew Bruce would describe him as kind, friendly, and generous. His warm smile and open heart made him a friend to many. He was a man who gave without expecting anything in return and found joy in the happiness of others. Bruce’s presence was a delight to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we bid farewell to Bruce Dale Carroll, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, and laughter. Bruce will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the cherished memories he leaves behind.
