Carl W. Loftin, 76

March 29, 1948 – July 19, 2024

EGGVILLE – Mr. Carl Wayne Loftin, age 76, died Friday, July 19, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit following an extended illness. He was born March 29, 1948 in Tupelo, MS, to the marital union of Carl and Jimmie Lou Johnson Loftin. He worked in construction as a brick mason for many years and then Ken Johnson Logging Company. He was known by many as “Groucho”. He enjoyed going to Hardin’s Grocery to eat lunch with his friends every day. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a passion for turkey and deer hunting, as he proudly displayed his trophies on his mantle. He spent many early mornings and late evenings bass fishing and running trot lines. His love for Ole Miss sports was inevitable, no matter if they won or lost. He loved to play pranks and crack jokes. Carl Wayne was an all around good man, very kind, and very loving.
