Carolyn Trice, 78

January 21, 1948 – April 10, 2026

The sunrise of Carolyn Trice was January 21, 1948, in Pontotoc, MS to Robert Lee Hatchett and Emily Wilson. Her sun set the evening of April 10, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Carolyn accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Usher Valley United Methodist Church. She graduated from Pontotoc Attendance Center. She then attended Mississippi Valley State University where she studied business.

She went on to work for South Central Bell as an operator. She remained there as the company changed and grew right through to today’s AT&T until retirement. When not at work, she enjoyed reading, listening to music, especially David Ruffin, and watching movies on LMN.

She married the love of her life on September 25, 1975. Along with Monica, they raised one daughter, Keir.

She leaves to honor her memories: two daughters: Keir (Terrance) Anderson of Jackson, MS; Monica Trice of Tupelo, MS; two stepsons: Brian (Tracey) of Mount Olive, MS; Eric (Denise) Gregory of Pontotoc, MS. She also leaves behind a plethora of grand and great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends to lovingly cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Trice, and one great granddaughter Ava Richey.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Usher Valley United Methodist Church, 754 Moorman Road, Pontotoc, MS 38863. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Usher Valley United Methodist Church.
