Cathy Lynn Huffman, 72

August 17, 1953  –  November 25, 2025

Cathy Lynn Huffman, 72, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with heart disease and surrounded by family members at North Mississippi Medical Center on the 25th of November 2025. Cathy was born in New Albany, MS on August 17, 1953 to Thomas and Lottie Mae Gordon.

Cathy was born into a large and loving family as one of 15 children,12 sisters and 2 brothers. Cathy was never one to mince words and was always readily available to offer her opinion on the matters at hand. She was a retired homemaker that lived to offer her loving support to her grand and great grand children. She had a gift with decorating and making flower arrangements and wreaths. One of her favorite things to participate in was the periodic gatherings with her friends, the “golden girls”

Cathy is survived by her husband of 39 years Ray, 2 sons Ronnie Gordon and Keith Tabor. Sisters Martha Rossell, Janie Frazier, Peggy Pickens, Barbara Steward, Pam Foster, Brenda Shettles, Delores Kent, Teresa Moore and brothers, Robert Gordon and Tommy Gordon. Grand children Hannah Grant, Callie Keith, Lane Gordon, Benton Hopkins, Laken Gordon, and Brylee McGreger. Great grand children, Carter, Paris, Parker, Georgia, Hudson, and baby Hopkins on the way.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Betty Whitten, Mary Wilkerson, Carolyn Anthony, and Ann Gregory.

A celebration of her life will begin with visitation Friday November 28th from 4 to 7 and service Saturday November 29th at 11 AM at United Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Benton Hopkins, Lane Gordon, Randy Huffman, Richard Huffman, Jonathon Grant, and Cody Keith.
