Charles Alexander, 76

March 9, 1949February 14, 2026

Mr. Charles Richard “Chuck” Alexander affectionately known to family and friends as Chuck, he was born March 9, 1949, in Alcorn County, Corinth, Mississippi to his late parents Ben and Willie Alexander and on February 14, 2026, Chuck passed away at his home in Memphis, Tn with his wife by his side. After living in Dennistown next door to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where the whole family attended church from birth for many years, his parents decided to move the family to Cleveland, Ohio. Chuck completed his high school years at John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland where he graduated in June 1967. Chuck loved baseball and singing and always helped family when needed.

After becoming an adult, Chuck decided to move to Chicago, Illinois where he learned various trades. But his desire was to become a professional singer like his favorite entertainer the late Jackie Wilson. He fulfilled that dream by recording music and had two of his songs, No Seat Dancing and Time Out For Love, recorded and published and those songs were purchased by Light In The Attic Records, Seattle, Washington.

On May 26, 1976, Chuck met his wife Deborah Denice Alexander while living in Chicago. After living a while longer in Chicago, they both decided to move to the south in the late 70’s and got married in Memphis, Tennessee May 31, 1980, where they lived until his departure from this earthly life.

Our family has an empty space where our one of a kind husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend once resided. Two aunts: Alice Young, Dallas, TX and Dorothy Alexander, Corinth, MS. and a host of Nephews, Nieces and Cousins Chuck siblings that preceded him in death were: Morris Betts, Franklin Alexander, Betty Hearns, Jimmy Alexander and Patricia Boyd.

Chuck’s family is certainly grateful and appreciative to all of you who attended this celebration today and we pray that as we continue to pray for you, you continue to pray for us and God will keep us all in His arms.
