Chester Smith, 74

February 15, 1950 – October 6, 2024

Mr. Chester Smith, 74, of Lamar, MS, transitioned on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his residence.

Chester Lee Smith was born February 15, 1950, to the late Mr. A.C. Smith and Ms. Nancy Louise Coleman of Marshall County MS.

Chester accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Kimbrough Chapel M.B Church, where he remained until death.  He departed his life on October 6, 2024, at home.

Chester leaves four loving daughters: Sharron Crumb of Lamar, MS, Elite Turner of Memphis, TN, Tiffany Campbell of Lamar,  MS,  Alexis Jones of Holly Springs, MS;  three sons: Mario Smith of Atlanta, GA, Markavious Anderson of Memphis, TN, Timothy Campbell of Ripley, MS; seven sisters: Elaine McKinney,  Sherry McClaine, Eloise Smith,  Alice Anderson, Deloris Stephens all of Memphis TN, Patrica Anderson of Holly Springs, MS, Vonda Faye Hardin (deceased);  three brothers: Calvin Smith, Jesse Williams, Lonnie Colemen (Katherine)  all of Memphis, TN;  two special grandchildren: Akeelah Campbell and Kenyuna Campbell that was always there for him; 20 grandchildren,  10 great-grandchildren, and  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2:00 Noon, 172 North Slayden Road, Lamar, MS  38642
