Christmas-in-Flight parade is November 28th

New Albany, MS– “Christmas-in-Flight,” the New Albany/Union County 2016 Christmas parade is scheduled for November 28th, the Monday after Thanksgiving.

The Tallahatchie River Players are in charge of production of the parade, and urge participants to think “flight of fantasy” when preparing entries. There will be something for everyone this year–all the tradition and a new twist or two. Bill Smallwood is this year’s Grand Marshall.

“Christmas-in-Flight” will begin as close to 6:00 PM as possible. The route will be the same as last year’s. The Parade will begin at the library parking lot’s Main Street entrance, then down Main toward the River, turning up Bankhead street through downtown.

Bagpiper Eric Holloway will lead the way this year. Farm Bureau’s “Riding Shotgun with Brett Favre” Monster Truck will be included, along with seasonal favorites : floats, bands, horses, lots of “siren stuff,” etc.

In case of rain, the parade will be on Tuesday, the 29th of November
