City of New Albany clarifies rules concerning church activities
The mayor and governor each issued orders Tuesday limiting occupancy in non-essential businesses to 10 or fewer people.
Church services were listed as essential but that does not mean they are exempt from other rules.
The order still requires those in an essential business or setting to be at least six feet apart and maintain adequate sanitizing of the area.
Weddings and funerals are classed as non-essential and churches are still encouraged to to avoid groups of 10 or more.
