An Eagle Scout himself and a long-time supporter of Boy Scouts of America, Kelly has long been an advocate for public service and often encourages young people to give back to their communities through community service.
Congressman Kelly received the award Tuesday evening, May 1, at the annual Yocona Area dinner in Tupelo. His wife and children were with him for the occasion.
Kelly has represented north Mississippi in Congress since 2015 and was previously District Attorney for Mississippi’s First Circuit Court District. He is a Brigadier General of the Mississippi National Guard and serves on the Armed Services Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives.
