Cynthia Reed, 61

New Albany-Cynthia Reed, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 61. She was born on October 9, 1962, in New Albany, Mississippi, to Esque and Christine Roberts.

Cynthia was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in taking care of her family. She was married to James Reed on June 27, 1980, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories. Cynthia was a loving mother to her daughter Ashley Hamm and her husband Jordan, and her son Brandon Reed and his wife Ashley. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her five precious grandchildren: Greyson Miller, Addison Miller, Ella Reed, Eliza Reed, and Layla Hamm.

Cynthia had a passion for shopping and yard sales, always finding the perfect treasures. But above all, her faith and her church, Oak View Baptist Church, held a special place in her heart. She found solace and strength in the saving blood of Jesus, and her church community was a source of love and support.

Cynthia’s life was marked by love, laughter, and devotion to her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Esque and Christine Roberts, and her siblings Linda Henry, Beverly Clifton, Elton Roberts, Danny Lynn Roberts, and Sandy Roberts.

She is survived by her loving husband James, her children, grandchildren, and her three brothers, Larry, James Ray, and Bradley Roberts. Cynthia’s memory will forever be treasured by all those who knew and loved her.

The funeral service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held at United Funeral Service on Monday July 1, 2024 at 2:00pm. A visitation will be on Sunday also at United from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Monday from 1:00pm until the start of the service.

May Cynthia  rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
