Daniel Louis Parker, 54

August 6, 1971 – February 25, 2026

Daniel Louis Parker, 54, of New Albany, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at his residence.

Per Daniel’s request, he will be cremated.  The family covets your prayers during this difficult season of their lives.

A memorial service with visitation will be held at 2 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care, with Bro. Steve Denton officiating.  A Eulogy will be read by his son-in-law, Jason Brill.  Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 12 PM until time of service also in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care.

Born August 6, 1971, in Aurora Illinois, to the late Vincente Beltran and Gloria Jean Mieno Beltran, Daniel was a Christian and a self-employed jack of all trades.  He was truly the life of every gathering, goofy, loud, and full of personality.  Daniel loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren.

He was never exactly on time, he operated on “Parker time,” his own special time zone.  Daniel could build anything from cars to houses and was known far and wide for his talent and ethic.  He was loved by everyone who knew him, and he would gladly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.  In fact, he even lost his vision while helping a stranded motorist on the side of the road, a true testament to his selflessness and servant’s heart.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Laurie Parker, three daughters, Brooke Brill (Jason) of Myrtle, Laken Miles and Gabby Parker both of New Albany, one son, Danny Rogers (Brandi) of Ripley, three sisters, Tammy Parker, Anna Vasquez, and Jessica Whaley, four brothers, Vincent Beltran, Brian Shettles, Danny “DJ” Greer, and Kevin Greer, eight much adored grandchildren, Kingston Jackson, Brayson and Lily Brill, Aiden and Zoey Miles, and Bo, D.J. and Raylynn Rogers, plus one grandson on the way.  He also leaves behind his special canine companion, Luna, along with three grand-dogs, Koa Boone, Koda, and Kash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father, Danny Joe Greer, and two brothers.

New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care invites you to share your memories with the Parker family.
