Funeral services honoring the life of David will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2 PM, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home, with pastor Robert Miller and Pastor Scott Mayhorn officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until time of service on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in the Blue Mountain Cemetery.
David was born on December 26, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Peggy Langston Langley. He worked for Neubert Collision Center and was also a factory worker for Regenerex for many years.
Of the Episcopalian faith, David had a deep love for flowers and animals, especially cats. With a generous heart, he faithfully took time out of his daily routine every Sunday to feed nearly fifty cats throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.
A true mama’s boy, there was never a visit to his mother’s home without first stopping to pick her flowers along the way. David loved to read and listen to rock and roll music. He especially loved Christmas and treasured every moment of the season, even getting to wear his new boots, lovingly given to him by his mother just last week, for just half a day.
David enjoyed NASCAR and Tennessee Volunteers football. He also loved reading his Bible, often highlighting his favorite verses. His contagious smile and laughter will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish David’s memory include his mother, Peggy Langston Langley of Olive Branch, his only daughter, Jessica Chambers of Louisville, TN, his special friends, Patrick White of the Steps House in Knoxville, Tennessee, Brian Portman, Craig Carriager, and all co-workers and friends at Joe Neubert Collision Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. David was also a friend of Dr. Bob.
David was preceded in death by his much-adored granny, Dora Stricklin, and Walter and Margaret Chambers.
