David K. Hardin, 84

New Albany-David K. Hardin, 84, went to his heavenly home Wednesday, February 8, 2023. He was born October 28, 1938, to Zollie and Anna Doris Inman Hardin. He Served our great country in the US Army. He retired from Henson Distributing Corporation in the sales department. He was the P.A. announcer for sporting events at W.P. Daniels High School from the 70’s until 2009, which was his passion. He made all the trips with his three grandsons, Drew, Wesley, and Cooper Dodds when they hit the road for every game. Mr. David was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed beyond word. He was a member of First Baptist Church of New Albany.



Services to celebrate the life of Mr. David will be on Sunday, February 12, at 3:00 p.m. at United Funeral Service with Bro. Andrew Chesteen officiating. A visitation will be from 1:00 until the start of the service.
Burial will be at Vista Memorial Park.

Those left behind to carry on his memories are his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Hardin, one daughter, Tammie Dodds (Frank), three grandsons; Drew Dodds (Lauren), Wesley Dodds (Anna Kirk), and Cooper Dodds, and one great-grandson, Davis Dodds.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother, James Maurice Hardin.

The family would like to give a special “Thank you” to all the wonderful care given to Mr. David by; Dr. Sam Creekmore, Dr. Craig Bullock, Dr. Brad Scott, and the sweet staff at Dogwood Assisted Living.
