David Samuel Russell, 56

 June 26, 1968 – November 1, 2024

Mr. David Samuel Russell, 56, of Ecru, MS, transitioned on Friday, November 1, 2024, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born June 26, 1968 in Memphis, TN to Lender and Jewel Russell. You didn’t have to be around David long to learn of his passion for football, golf, baseball, and all things sports. He was Ole Miss’ number one fan. The light of his life was playing sports with his 4 daughters and coaching them in softball. He loved them so much.  He loved music, church, and most of all God and his Victory Life Center Family.

David met his wife Sarah in 2011 and loved her from the moment they met. She has cared for him and loved him for 10 years and will never be the same without him. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Russell, daughters, Kayla Hol comb (Hunter) of Purvis, MS, Kelsey Russell of Water Valley, MS, Alli Sivley (Dylan) of Independence, MS, and Abby Russell of Auburn, AL. Bonus daughters, Shelly Wilson (Wayne) of Knoxville, TN, Tabatha Johnson (Mark)  of Bartlett,TN, Kayla Cook of Ecru, MS.  Grandchildren, Briggs and Eleanor Holcomb, Cayson Cummings, Ivy Sivley, Taliya Wilson, CJ Cook, Christian “Peanut” Cook, Ashton Johnson, Kailee Cook, Liam Wilson, Braydon Johnson, and Cayson Johnson. Siblings, Gerald Russell  (Cheryl), Linda Whitehead, Judy Russell, and Rita Russell.

He was preceded in death by his mom & dad, Lender and Jewel Russell.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., and Services will be at 3:30 p.m., at Victory Life Center, 116 N. Denton Road, New Albany, MS  38652
