Debbie Lynn Stanford, 65

April, 19, 1959 – February 20, 2025

Nettleton-A beautiful soul whose life was devoted to God and her family and the happiness of everyone she met entered the portals of Heaven on Thursday, Feb. 20,. 2025 from her Nettleton residence. Debbie Lynn Schumpert Stanford met her Creator after 65 years of purpose filled living. Born in Tupelo on April, 19, 1959 to the late Clifton Schumpert and Bobbie Conwill Schumpert, Debbie spent her life in service to others. She never met a stranger, had a broad inviting smile and was a source of encouragement for everyone she came in contact with. She was totally devoted to her late husband, Ken Stanford, to their 3 children, Melanie, Josh and Kasi and her 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Debbie lived most of her life in Lee County only moving to Nettleton 4 ½ years ago after the death of her husband, Ken. Deb loved animals all her life, once owned Kanine Kastle in Tupelo, a prominent dog grooming business and spent her last 22 years as a groomer for Animal Care Center of Tupelo where she was beloved by animals and their owners. A woman of devout faith, Debbie was a member of Mooreville Baptist Church. Her radiance in personality and Godly living were her hallmarks. She loved hunting and fishing with Ken, who worked for Miss. Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, traveling all over the USA visiting most every state, listening to Southern Gospel music and spending every second she could with her family.



A service celebrating her life will be held at 4 PM Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with her pastor, Bro. Larry Trammel officiating. Private burial will follow in Priceville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 PM Sunday-service time at the funeral home. Debbie is survived by her 3 children; Melanie Stewart (Daniel) of Mooreville; Josh Stanford (Jessica) of Eggville and Kasi Carrisoza (Drew) of Nettleton; her grandchildren; Cody Rodgers, Keianna Bearden, Blake Curry, Hayden Stewart, Makhi Stewart, Drake Stanford, Alisha Guin (Hayden), Erica Gibens (Jesse), Micah Carrisoza and Miranda Carrisoza that MaMaw loved doting over; her sister, Cindy Dew of Laurel, Ms. and a brother, Scott Schumpert (Celissa) of Prattville, Ala.; her father in law, Kenneth Ray Stanford and all her Stanford family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Bobbie Schumpert, her husband, Ken in April, 202O, an infant daughter, Marsha and a granddaughter, Alexis Carrisoza.
