Debbie Wyatt, 67
March 12, 1959 – March 28, 2026
Florence, Ala/Tupelo – Debbie Campbell Wyatt realized the promise of eternal life from her profound faith in God and his son, Jesus on March 28, 2026 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. She was 67 years old. Born March 12, 1959 at Delta Medical Center in Greenwood, Ms. to the late Warner Carl Campbell and Elsie Andrews Campbell, she lived in several Delta towns but grew up in Leland. Debbie graduated from Leland High School in 1977 and married Wesley E. Wyatt, Jr., in Greenville on Nov. 10, 1979.
Debbie was born with rare qualities of independence, forthrightness, honesty and love taught to her by her parents and grandmother. A strong believer in not just reading the Bible but studying it, Debbie had a strong spiritual foundation from which flowed a virtuous lady whose primarily life work was being a housewife and homemaker caring for her husband, her 3 children and her grandchildren. She and Wesley moved from the Delta to Tupelo in 1989 and made this area their home until 2016. While in Tupelo, they were active members of Harrisburg Baptist Church.
Home to her was where her heart was and she mastered housekeeping, cooking and welcoming her family in her home anytime. Her hospitality was legendary and she lived a life of gratitude for the many blessings bestowed upon her. Even in her long battle with cancer, she was the quintessential warrior to her family and to the cancer. She would always say in her illness, “God’s Got This”!!-something she believed until her last breath.
A stylish, classy lady who dressed always “to the 9’s”, Debbie loved God’s creation, sitting on her patio feeding the red birds and other creatures always soaking up the love she had for all living things; her family, her church and a love that passeth all understanding. She rests now in the bosom of Abraham to live in perpetual light and happiness for all eternity.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Florence, Alabama. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home. A visitation will take place from 4 PM-5PM Wednesday afternoon at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo.
