Deborah Himel, 70

OKOLONA – Ms. Deborah McCamey Himel, age 70, died Friday, June 14, 2024, at her residence. She was born July 2, 1953 in Okolona, MS, to Mitchell McCamey and Polly Edwards McCamey. She was a graduate of Okolona High School where she was a cheerleader and enjoyed participating in various school activities. Deborah was a homemaker, raising her two children, April and Anthony, who were her pride and joy.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Boone’s Chapel Cemetery with a reception immediately following at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be posted at hollandfuneraldirectors.com. Holland Funeral Directors are entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Anthony Himel of Vail, Colorado, and her daughter, April Himel of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; and her brother, Mike McCamey (Harriett) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry McCamey, and sister, Lisa McCamey Bannerman.
