Deborah L. Tunnell, 69

June 5, 1956 – March 22, 2026

Deborah L. Tunnell, beloved wife, sister and friend, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Sanctuary Home Hospice in Tupelo, MS.

She was born on June 5, 1956, to James A. and Geraldine Becker of Peoria, Illinois.

Devoted to her family and friends, Deb had an adventurous spirit and loved hiking, camping,

fishing and horseback riding. She was a talented artist and avid quilter.

She was preceded in death by both parents, and is survived by the love of her life, her husband,

Dale L. Tunnell, PhD of Shiloh, TN and stepdaughter Ashley Tunnell-Schwegman of Huntsville, AL

Also surviving are siblings Jim (Mary Boyer) Becker of East Peoria, IL; Casper Knight of Saint Johns, FL;

Shari (Jeff) Friederich of Saint Johns, FL; Nick (Kari) Becker of Bloomington, IL and six nieces and four nephews.
