Delores Ann Stafford, 77

March 31, 1948 – March 4, 2026

Delores Ann Stafford, age 77, departed this earthly life and entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Ashland Health and Rehabilitation Center.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Delores will be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time. Her family deeply appreciates the prayers, love, and kindness shown to them during this tender and difficult time.

Born on March 31, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Delores was the daughter of the late Doward Falcon and Nela Aldridge. She received her education from Bradford High School in Starke, Florida, and spent the majority of her life in Florida before later making her way to North Mississippi to be closer to family. During her time in Mississippi, she worked for a short period with Lee Crane Insurance as a telephone operator.

A Christian and Baptist by faith, Mrs. Delores was a woman who truly lived life to its fullest. She possessed a playful spirit and was well known for her sense of humor. Always ready with a witty remark or a harmless prank, she loved to keep those around her smiling. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a special way of brightening the day of anyone fortunate enough to be around her.

In her quieter moments, Mrs. Delores enjoyed working crossword puzzles, a pastime that kept her mind sharp and her curiosity alive. Above all else, however, her greatest joy came from her family. She proudly carried the title “Grandma D,” a name spoken with love by her grandchildren who brought endless happiness into her life. She also treasured the special bond she shared with her beloved brother, Sonny. Family meant everything to Mrs. Delores, and she never lost sight of the importance of those closest to her heart.

In her later years, Mrs. Delores courageously battled Alzheimer’s disease. Though the illness sometimes caused names to fade and faces to blur, the love she carried for her family never diminished. Even when words became difficult and memories slipped away, the warmth of her heart remained unchanged.

While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now forever healed, resting peacefully in the arms of her Savior. The laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the vibrant spirit with which she lived will remain treasured memories for all who knew her.

Mrs. Delores leaves behind a beautiful legacy of humor, devotion to family, and a zest for life that will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Those left to carry on her legacy include her two daughters, Kara Evans (Colby), and Annie Carter (Stephen), her son, Brian Stafford, her brother, Donald “Sonny” Falcon (Cindy), and her grandchildren, Madison, Jackson, Luca, Emma, Alli, and Robert Henry, along with her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth David Stafford, her brother, Randall McGee, and her stepfather, Joseph Harold McGee.
