Delores Crouch Pannell, 75
April 1, 1951 – May 13, 2026
“He heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds.” – Psalms 147:3
Annie Delores Crouch Pannell, most lovingly known as “Mrs. Delores” to all who knew and loved her best, entered into her Heavenly Home wrapped safely in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi, with her devoted family faithfully by her side.
On the very date she married the love of her life, her beloved late husband, Mr. Junior, funeral services honoring and celebrating Mrs. Delores’ precious life will be held at 1 PM Sunday, May 17, 2026, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home, with Bro. William Carpenter, Bro. Kenneth Harrison, and Bro. Dewayne Vandygriff officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening, May 16, 2026, from 5 PM until 8 PM at Ripley Funeral Home and will continue Sunday from 10 AM until time of service. Mrs. Delores will be laid to rest beside her husband at New Salem Cemetery, where a simple prayer and words of Scripture will be shared.
Born April 1, 1951, in Tippah County, Mississippi, Mrs. Delores was the cherished daughter of the late William and Mollie Pauline Brown Crouch. A proud 1969 graduate of Falkner High School, she married her beloved husband, Mr. Edd James Pannell, affectionately known to everyone as “Junior,” just shortly after graduation. Together, the two built a beautiful life centered around faith, love, and family. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Mrs. Delores devoted twenty-five years to Red Cap before continuing her working career with Eco Water for seventeen years, later spending several years part-time with Barkley Cleaners until her retirement.
A faithful Christian, Mrs. Delores dearly loved attending Victory Chapel Church. She found joy in life’s simple treasures — lighthouses, Elvis Presley music, laughter shared with friends, harmless pranks, and capturing memories through photographs. Her family lovingly remembers how she never went anywhere without a camera tucked away in her purse, always ready to snap a picture at a moment’s notice. She was truly a picture fanatic, preserving precious moments that her family will forever treasure. Mrs. Delores never met a stranger. Her outgoing personality, loving heart, and gift for conversation made her a friend to everyone she encountered. And if you knew Mrs. Delores, you knew her hands were always moving right along with every story she told — she simply could not talk without them.
More than anything this world could offer, Mrs. Delores treasured her family. Being together with those she loved most brought her the greatest happiness, and she made certain every gathering was filled with laughter, memories, and love. Though her fun-loving spirit and vibrant personality will be deeply missed here on earth, her family finds peace in knowing she has now been forever healed and reunited with the love of her life. Her beautiful legacy will continue living on each time a Kodak disposable camera flashes, a lighthouse catches our eye, or an Elvis gospel song softly begins to play — gentle reminders that the love and spirit of Mrs. Delores will never truly be gone.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include her daughter, Marsha Pannell; her son, Mark Pannell (Jennifer); her only brother, Johnny Crouch; her grandchildren, Matthew Pannell, Austin Ragan (Nikki), and Carley Willard (Brandon); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Gracie, Jaxtin, Mia, Lawsin, Madalee, Ava, Parker, and Luna, along with a host of extended family members and countless dear friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband, Mr. Junior Pannell.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mickey Moore, Roger Dale Moore, Terry Lynn Barkley, Matt Pannell, Austin Ragan, Jaxtin Ragan, Lonnie Heavener, and Peanut Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Pannell, Johnny Pannell, Caleb Koon, Dalton Cockrell, Kevin Jones, Timmy Barkley, Robert Lowry, Junior Linville, and Roger Rowland.
