Dennis Kenneth Ausbern, 71

October 1, 1953 – February 25, 2025

Nettleton / Okolona – Dennis Kenneth Ausbern passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at The Meadows in Fulton. He was 71 years old. Born on October 1, 1953, in Aberdeen, Mississippi to George Kenneth Ausbern and Viva Jean Brown Ausbern, he spent most of his life in Chickasaw County before relocating to the Nettleton area 16 years ago. He graduated from Okolona High School and worked for the 4-F Corp. in Memphis and Phillips Construction, before establishing his own construction company, Ausbern Construction, in 1988. He married Debbie Nell Finn in Chickasaw County on September 27, 1970. Dennis and Debbie were charter members of Faith Outreach Church in Okolona and he was the church pianist for 44 years. His hobbies included motorcycles! He and Debbie traveled extensively seeing all parts of the USA. He also enjoyed great meals, sitting by the pool with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports. Dennis was a mild- mannered man who devoted his life to God, his family, his community and loving and caring for his fellowman. He will be missed by family and friends.

A celebration of life service for Dennis will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Faith Outreach Church in Okolona with Pastor Jimmy Bryan officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 and again from 1 PM to service time Friday, all at the church. Burial will take place at East Chickasaw Memorial Gardens. Holland Funeral Directors – Okolona Chapel is honored to serve the family.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Finn Ausbern; his children, Den Ausbern (Nicole), and DeeDee Bailey (Scott); grandchildren, Chip Ausbern (Monica), Coleton Ausbern (Ashlyn), and B.J. Bailey; siblings, Terry Ausbern (Elizabeth) and Maisie Walls (Roy); and his twin great-grandsons, Nash and Bentley Ausbern.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Viva Jean Ausbern.

Pallbearers will be Chip Ausbern, Coleton Ausbern, B.J. Bailey, Scott Weatherly, Jay Bryan, and Jeff Senter.
