Dennis Lee Russell, 70, departed this life on March 14, 2025, at his home in Walnut. The family has requested cremation.

Mr. Russell was born March 25, 1954, in Memphis, TN, the son of the late James Wesley and Norma Gieger Russell, Sr. He was a graduate of Kingsbury High School in Memphis and was employed in Sales throughout his life. He will be remembered as a “people person” who enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone he came in contact with during his time as a salesman. In December 2024 Mr. Russell moved from Hernando to Walnut to be closer to his sister and where he discovered the peace of rural life. His main hobby included watching sports, especially basketball.

Memories will continue to be shared by his daughter, Chelsea Russell (Brandon Jacobs) of Memphis, one son, Rodney Russell (Teri) of Memphis, three sisters, Annette Barnes of Walnut, Donna Sue Perkins of Hernando and Rite Earlene Ferris of Louisiana, one brother, Jimmy Russell (Kara) of Memphis and four grandchildren, Ava and Ella Jo Russell, Addison and Cameron Jacobs.

He is also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Heath Russell and a sister, Barbara Ann Barnes.
