Some lives leave footprints on our hearts forever, and Mr. Dennis Ray Russell was one of those lives. Mr. Russell, 75, of Middleton, TN, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services honoring Mr. Russell’s life will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM at New Bethel Baptist Church near Middleton, TN, with Bro. Bobby Kirkofficiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026,from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 11:00 AM until time of service on Sunday at New Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Russell was born on August 21, 1950, in Brownfield, Mississippi, to the late Charles E. “Bill” Russell and Mildred E. Lowrance Russell. He attended Middleton High School and later dedicated many years of hard work as a material handler with Harmon Automotive Company in Bolivar, TN, where he faithfully worked for 27 years before retirement.
Dennis was a proud Alabama fan through and through. He loved everything Alabama, especially cheering on his Crimson Tide. He enjoyed yard work and landscaping and took pride in keeping things looking their best. He was fond of westerns and treasured visits to the Bear Bryant Museum. Above all, Dennis had a servant’s heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Those who knew Dennis will remember his kindness, his hardworking nature, and valued the time spent with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his precious memories include his loving wife of more than 19 years, Linda Brazil Russell of Middleton, TN; one daughter, Kimberley Clifton of Silerton, TN; two sons, Joseph Spencer (Sherra) of Michie, TN, and Chris Spencer (Katie) of Guntown, MS; two sisters, Carol Caviness (Jimmy) and LaDonna Luker; one brother, Steve Russell (Linda); one sister-in-law, Ilene Russell; and six grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends whom he dearly adored.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Russell; one brother-in-law, Benny Luker.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to all those who have shown love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
