Multiple departments respond to shed fire

New Albany Deputy Fire Chief Mark Whiteside reported that the Myrtle Fire Department, West Union Fire Department and personnel from New Albany responded to a shed fire on CR 53 just east of CR 515 early Wednesday.

On arrival, units found a structure on fire along with some grass, rubbish and trees burning. The fire was brought under control quickly and the structure was a total loss.

A nearby shed sustained some heat damage to the siding, Whiteside said.

The cause is still undetermined and no injuries were reported, he added.
