Donald Wayne Fox, 81

October 17, 1944 – November 6, 2025

Donald Wayne “Donnie Wayne” Fox, 81, of Saltillo, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice.

Born on October 17, 1944, in Texas to John and Marjorie Gooch Fox, Donald lived a life full of laughter, curiosity, and adventure. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before finding his true calling on the golf course. A natural teacher and friend to everyone he met, he spent many happy years as a Golf Pro at Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa, Arizona — a job that let him combine his love for golf with his gift for connecting with people.

Donald was married for 36 wonderful years to the love of his life, Patricia Watson Fox. Together they built a home filled with warmth, humor, and family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in time spent with his loved ones.

He had a passion for life’s simple pleasures — playing golf, woodworking, doing research on anything that piqued his interest, and enjoying a cold beer during happy hour. He was an avid boater who loved being out on the water, especially at Lake Powell, one of his favorite places on earth. His easygoing spirit, quick wit, and love for storytelling made him a joy to be around.

Donald is survived by his wife, Patricia; his daughters, Tami Orona (Michael), Milissa Ledbetter (Lee), Cozett Davis (Jeffrey), Lisa Walker (Russell), and Krisi Isgrigg (Jeffrey); his sons, Kyle Fox (Krista) and Anthony Arricale; 22 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjorie Fox; his uncle, Stanley Gooch; his mother-in-law, Pat Gorski; and his beloved dog, Meeka, who was always by his side.

Donald will be remembered for his generous heart, his quick smile, and his unwavering love for his family and friends.
