Donna Kay Sledge Anderson, 73

March 3, 1951 – January 18, 2025

Donna Kay Sledge Anderson, 73, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Pontotoc on March 3, 1951, to the late Emsley Sledge, Jr. and Gwendolyn Cummings Sledge.

Donna dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her work as a house cleaner. She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church in Pontotoc, where she found joy in ministering to others about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Donna had a deep love for gardening and spending time outdoors, finding peace and inspiration in nature’s beauty.

She is survived by her loving children, Lori Gist (Chris), Tracy Anderson (Robert Summar), Sam Anderson, Jr. (Tammy), and Rocky Henderson (Courtney). Donna also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Loretta Floyd, Karen Myrick (Steve), Julian Cates (Barbara), and Ricky Sledge (Sherry), as well as 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her loving memory and legacy of faith and kindness, which will forever be remembered by those who knew her.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Cairo Baptist Church in Ecru, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 P.M.

Donna Kay Sledge Anderson will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for family, and her kind and generous spirit.
